Nassau County Legislator John Giuffré recently joined with the Nassau County Legislature to honor 5th Precinct Detectives Michael Shreve and Dakota Clark, Investigation Squad Detective Joseph Albergo Gang and Electronics Squad Detective Robert Rescigno.
On October 25th, a 911 dispatcher observed a disturbing video on Snapchat where a man was being kicked multiple times, attacked by a Pitbull while unconscious, bound, naked and covered in his own blood. The 911 caller provided this video and Snapchat screenname to Fifth Squad Detectives Shreve and Clark who conferred with Gang Squad Detective Albergo and Detective Rescigno from the Electronics Squad who responded and coordinated the digital forensic search for this subject. The Detectives were able to obtain the possible location of this subject which was a large apartment building located in Schenectady, New York. The Schenectady Police were able to locate the victim and save his life. Three individuals were arrested, and two illegal handguns, and large quantities of fentanyl, of heroine, and of crack-cocaine were seized.
“Thank you to these brave detectives for acting swiftly and helping save the life of this victim,” Legislator Giuffré said. “With the cooperation of the Schenectady Police Department, they were able to take three dangerous individuals off the streets and seize illegal guns and drugs. Thank you to all our Police for all you do!”
