[ARCHIVED] LEGISLATOR RHOADS REMINDS NASSAU COUNTY SENIORS TO GET A FLU SHOT

LEGISLATOR McKEVITTS FLU SHOT

Wednesday, November 4, 2020 - 10:00 Am to 4:00 PM

Wantagh Public Library – 3285 Park Avenue, Wantagh

Legislator Steve Rhoads, in conjunction with NuHealth/Nassau University Medical Center and the Wantagh Public Library, is offering free flu shots for Nassau County Senior Citizens age 60 and up. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) highly recommends getting your flu shot this fall not only to reduce your risk from flu but also to help conserve potentially scarce health care resources.

There is no out-of-pocket expense for the flu shots. Please bring a driver’s license or other form of ID for proof of Nassau County residency. Flu shots will be given on a first come, first served basis. Please call Legislator Rhoads’ office at 516-571-6219 or email: srhoads@nassaucountyny.gov for more information.

COVID-19 Protocol - All residents getting their flu shots MUST: Keep 6 feet social distance, wear a facial mask, get a temperature check upon entry, and fill out a COVID-19 checklist to assess travel history and symptoms.
