Please join Nassau County Legislator Vincent Muscarella and Sanitation District #6 at the Shed the Meds, Document Shredding & E-Cycling Community Event at Sanitation District #6’s District Yard in West Hempstead and take advantage of this opportunity to safely get rid of unused or unwanted medications, old documents and outdated or broken electronic equipment. NO COMMECIAL VEHICLES ALLOWED!
Shed the Meds
The drug take back program provides a safe, convenient, and responsible way to dispose of unwanted, unused or expired medications and helps the environment by discouraging people from flushing unused pills or dumping them in the solid waste stream.

Document shredding provides a safe and secure way to dispose of old documents and helps prevent identity theft. Documents are limited to a maximum of 3 file boxes per vehicle.
e-cycling
Help protect the environment by e-cycling your old electronic equipment, televisions, computers, monitors, tablets, fax machines, scanners, VCRs, DVD players, electronic and video game consoles and portable digital music players will be accepted for e-cycling
