CELEBRATING 100 YEARS OF WOMEN’S SUFFRAGE – A 19TH CENTURY PROTEST FOR THE RIGHT TO VOTE
Old Bethpage – Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano announces that Old Bethpage Village Restoration will host a Mother’s Day Parade and the reenactment of a Women’s Suffrage Rally on Sunday, May 14th from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Visitors will take a step back in time and experience speeches, parades and rallies similar to those held in the 19th century when women protested for their right to vote. Visitors can also attend the performances of St. George Living History Productions’ Suffrage and Courage – a 20th Century Tale of Women’s Quest for Equality. The performances will take place at 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. in the auditorium.

Old Bethpage Village Restoration provides visitors with a unique and wonderful opportunity to step back in time and experience life in a recreated mid-19th Century American village set on more than 200 acres. Hours are Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Last admission is at 3:00 p.m. Entrance fees are: $12 for adults, $8 for children (5 – 12), seniors and volunteer firefighters.
