Mineola, NY— On January 25th, Legislator John Giuffré joined with County Executive Bruce Blakeman, County Comptroller Elaine Phillips, Legislators Mazi Melesa Pilip and Arnold Drucker and Jewish faith leaders from around the county to light the dome of the Theodore Roosevelt Building yellow for International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
“The atrocities of the Holocaust should never be forgotten, and by lighting the dome and holding these ceremonies each year, we remember all those who were murdered and imprisoned by the Nazis during World War II,” Legislator John Giuffré said. “I stand with my friends in the Jewish community when we say NEVER AGAIN.”
