On Monday, January 10th, Steve Rhoads was sworn in for a new term in the Nassau County Legislature for the 14th Legislative Session covering 2022-2023.
Former Congressman Peter King administered the oath of office to the Majority Caucus of the Legislature at an induction ceremony held in the Peter J. Schmitt Legislative Chamber.
“I am excited to be sworn in and to continue my mission to provide the best representation to the hard-working residents of the 19th District in the Nassau County Legislature,” Legislator Rhoads said. “I’ve always tried to take a commonsense approach to the problems that face our communities and look forward to working with civic and community leaders and the new County Administration to create positive changes to make our neighborhoods better, safer and more affordable. Restoring fairness to our assessment system; fighting high taxes; working to overturn the State’s Bail Reform laws; supporting law enforcement and first responders; strengthening Nassau’s economy and creating jobs and fighting for a sensible return to normalcy as we emerge from the COVID pandemic are my top priorities, and I want to thank my neighbors for putting your trust in me. I will continue to fight for you; for your families and for our quality of life.”
