On Monday, January 10th, Denise Ford was sworn in for a new term in the Nassau County Legislature for the 14th Legislative Session covering 2022-2023.
Former Congressman Peter King administered the oath of office to the Majority Caucus of the Legislature at an induction ceremony held in the Peter J. Schmitt Legislative Chamber.
At the reorganization meeting immediately following the induction ceremony, Ford was once again named Alternate Deputy Presiding Officer. This will be her 10th two-year term in the Legislature.
“It is an honor to have been sworn in to serve another term as legislator for the 4th district and to be chosen again as Alternate Deputy Presiding Officer,” Legislator Ford said. “I am grateful for the support our residents continue to provide and I look forward to taking on the challenges that lie ahead, particularly protecting our environment and keeping our communities safe and our public safety workforce strong so they can effectively perform their duties.”
