(Mineola, NY) Nassau County Clerk Maureen O’Connell is proud to announce a new service designed to alert Nassau County residents of fraudulent property record filings with the Nassau
County Clerk. “Nassau County Property Fraud Alert” is an electronic notification service that alerts residents via email any time a land record document (deed, mortgage, lien) is recorded on their home.
This new service will alert property owners with an email notification when a document with their name is filed with the Office of the Nassau County Clerk. “My office preserves and protects land
records and provides a wide range of services to the public in a professional and courteous manner,” said County Clerk O’Connell. “This service has been introduced for the protection of Nassau County
property owners as I continue to implement state-of-the-art technology in the Clerk’s office. I strongly encourage all property owners to register for this free service.” Residents can register for this service
on the County Clerk’s website at www.nassaucountyny.gov/clerk/PFA. Please be advised that the Nassau County Clerk will only send alerts to your email address. If you receive any suspicious “urgent property notifications” through U.S. Mail or by phone, please contact the Office of the Nassau County Clerk immediately by calling 516-571-2660.
