At the February 26th Meeting of the Nassau County Legislature, Legislator Denise Ford had the great privilege of honoring City of Long Beach Councilwoman Anissa Moore as one of The Nassau County Legislature's 2018 Black History Month Honorees.
Ms. Moore was recognized for her service as an Educator at Nassau Community College and as a Public Servant of the City of Long Beach. Ms. Moore is the first African-American elected to the position of Councilperson for the City of Long Beach.
Also honored at the Legislative Ceremony was Bea Bayley for her service to the Lakeview community.
