12/28/2017        Limited Review of CH2Ms Compliance with the Nassau County Living Wage Law (PDF)
                          Purpose: to determine whether CH2M was in compliance with the County’s Living Wage                                                                              Law ("Law") and the related Rules for its employees who perform work under its contract                                                                             with Nassau County by paying them at least the Living Wage rate and providing the Law’s                                                                           required compensated time off.

                         Purpose: to determine whether Allen Healthcare Services was in compliance with the County’s                                                                   Living Wage Law ("Law") and the related Rules for its employees who perform work under its                                                                       contract with Nassau County by paying them at least the Living Wage rate and providing the                                                                       Law’s required compensated time off.
12/20/2017       Limited Review of the Plainview Water District (PDF)
                         Purpose: to perform a limited review of the District’s policies and procedures, including its budgetary                                                           process, fiscal oversight practices, revenues, expenditures, and fund balance for the years ended                                                               December 31, 2015 and 2016.
11/29/2017       Limited Review Of Dover Gourmet Corporation's Compliance with The Nassau County Living                                                           Wage Law (PDF)
                         Purpose: to determine whether Dover was in compliance with the Living Wage Law ("Law") and the                                                             related Rules for its employees who work on County property by paying them at least the Living Wage                                                       rate and providing the Law’s required compensated time off. In 2013, our attempt to audit Dover’s                                                               records from prior years, including Living Wage Law compliance, were hampered by the loss of                                                                   Dover’s records during Superstorm Sandy.

                         Purpose: to determine whether Gibbons, Esposito & Boyce Engineers, P.C.’s was in compliance with                                                         terms of the Debris Monitoring contract and the Nassau County Living Wage Law and the related rules                                                       for its employees.
05/8/2017         Limited Review of Able Health Care Services Inc. Compliance with the Nassau County Living                                                           Wage Law (PDF)
                         Purpose: to ensure Able is in compliance with the Nassau County Living Wage law as it relates to                                                               paying the Living Wage rate, that either includes health benefits or a health benefit supplement,                                                                   paying 12 days compensation time to employees who work 40 hours per week, and paying a                                                                       proportionate amount to those who work 20 or more hours.

                         Purpose: to determine whether juveniles housed at the Juvenile Detention Center are receiving the                                                             services required by state regulations and that there is adequate fiscal management of the facility.

                         Purpose: to determine whether the funds received by the Legal Aid Society are properly used and                                                               documented to support legal services provided to indigent persons in accordance with the Nassau                                                               County’s contracts from January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2015.

                         Purpose: to ensure the Probation Department is fulfilling its fiduciary responsibilities; to determine that                                                         the Department of Restitution’s bank reconciliations are performed in an accurate, timely, and                                                                     accountable manner; to determine that the Probation Department has adequate internal controls to                                                             safeguard against misuse or abuse of funds.
